Cosmetic Surgery Can Help Motivate A Healthier Lifestyle

Make this the year you resolve to look and feel fit. Cosmetic surgery is often a starting point for a healthier, more enjoyable life. Having a new look can help you to create better habits and motivate your diet and exercise plans.
Body Contouring — Traditionally, liposuction was reserved for patients with bulges of fat such as love handles or saddlebags. Liposuction has evolved and it is now even more about body sculpting. “Having liposuction is often a tipping point – if you take enough fat, people can metabolize existing fat better.
It’s a springboard. People use it to dive off into a better, healthier lifestyle,” says Dr. Robert Sigal.
Liposuction involves removing fat cells that are above the muscle layers. It is performed by making one-half centimeter cuts in the area while inserting a cannula, a long thin tube to extract the fat deposits through suction.
There is usually very little bruising. Liposuction can be performed anywhere on the body where there is fat – the outer thighs, abdomen, arms, lower legs, breasts, face, neck and chin.
Breast Reduction — Of all the cosmetic surgeries, breast reduction makes the quickest change to the body. Physical discomfort, wanting a trimmer and better proportioned figure or feeling self conscious about breast size are some reasons our patients undergo breast reduction surgery. Large breasts can restrict activities and exercise, cause back pain, skeletal deformities, breathing problems or cause skin irritation from bra straps. Breast reduction removes fat, glandular tissue and skin from the breasts, leaving them smaller, lighter and firmer.
The goal is a better proportioned body that fits into clothing easier and that looks and feels healthy.
Breast Augmentation — There is no standard profile for recipients of breast augmentation, according to Dr. Byron Poindexter. “We’ve had patients ranging in age from 18 to 76,” he notes.
Generally, patients are women who have already had children and lost volume during pregnancy. Other candidates are younger women with smaller breasts who want to expand one or two cup sizes.
In a recent survey from the Aesthetic Surgery Education and Research Foundation, it was found that the typical augmentation recipient was age 34, married or in a long-term relationship, earned $50,000 or more and more than half of recipients had Bachelor’s degrees.
Augmentation incisions are made in one of three places: in the breast crease, the edge of the areola or the armpit. The determining factors are the patient’s anatomy and the patient’s preference.
Either a silicone or a saline implant is used as silicone has just been returned to the market after a fourteen year absence. See page two for details on silicone implants.

Plastic surgery is not all that required these days. There are tons of non-invasive products available. On the other hand, maybe people just need to be happy with what they have. Cheers.
Way back I used stringing to get rid of my unwanted hair but it was so uncomfortable that I had to look for alternatives. I gave waxing a try and it worked fair but was sort of inconveinant. So I tried IPL laser and was suprisingly satisfied. I actually tried the no no and was really pleased with the results. It provided me awesome hair removal at an incredibly low price. I certainly recommend it to anyone in place of stringing.
